INDIANAPOLIS- The Ashland Eagles hold the best overall record in the G-MAC at 8-4. The Eagles sit at a perfect 3-0 in conference play alongside Tiffin.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
- Both Malone and Walsh picked up wins over Lake Erie and Ursuline. For the Pioneers, Abbey Burns connected on four of eight shots in a 16-1 win over the Arrows. Goalkeeper Sydney Atkinson got the win in net, with eight saves and giving up just one goal. In a 17-9 win over the Storm, Meg Ridgway, Ashtyn Praeter, and Alana Samek had three goals apiece. Atkinson added another win in net, playing all 60 minutes and collecting eight saves.
- Walsh’s Caliana Januchowski earned Defensive Player of the Week honors, after leading an defensive effort that gave up just five goals on the week. The junior midfielder caused seven turnovers, while picking up eight ground balls.
- Ashland found a dominant 20-3 win over the Thomas More Saints, where Ashley Fisher and Rachel Crumbacher each had four goals. Goalkeeper tandem of Annie Duncan and Maria Mancuso combined for two saves. Duncan earned the win in net, playing 45 minutes.
- Tiffin’s Lillian Graham and Kenna Wigginton combined for 10 of the Dragons’ 20 goals. Wigginton added six ground balls and three caused turnovers to earn Offensive Player of the Week honors.
