Series HIGHLIGHTS:
- Ashland vs. Cedarville (2-2) Cedarville traveled to Ashland this weekend for a four-game series that began on Friday. Ashland, coming off a 5–0 spring break trip, started strong by taking the first two games from the Yellow Jackets. The Eagles were led in game one by junior right-handed pitcher Jackson Grine, who threw six innings while striking out five. Grine allowed nine hits, two runs, and one walk. The win put Ashland head coach John Schaly just one victory away from 1,000 career wins at Ashland. However, Cedarville rallied on day two, taking both games to earn the split. Junior Eli Henderson highlighted the day with a three-run home run in game one. The Yellow Jackets then took game two in extra innings, as junior Jordan Geiger shut the door on the Eagles while also earning the win.
- Malone vs. Findlay (3-1) Findlay traveled to Canton over the weekend and took three of four games from a red-hot Malone squad. Malone claimed the opener 9–8 in extra innings, led by junior Rafe Bonifay, who delivered a walk-off single in the 10th inning. Findlay quickly reset and responded by winning the next three games against the Pioneers, scoring 26 runs during the stretch. Freshman Drew Tucker had a standout performance on day two, going 3-for-4 with his first career home run, a double, three runs scored, and a game-high five RBIs.
- Tiffin vs. Walsh (2-2) Tiffin hosted Walsh this weekend, and the Dragons split the four-game series with the Cavaliers. Tiffin never trailed in game one, securing a 5–3 victory. Johnathon Ray earned his first win of the season after throwing five innings, allowing one run on four hits with five walks and seven strikeouts. On day two, the Dragons took game one 14–8 after falling behind 4–0 in the first inning. Tiffin responded with 14 unanswered runs to secure the win.
- Ohio Dominican vs. Lake Erie (2-2) Ohio Dominican and Lake Erie split their four-game series over the weekend. Lake Erie swept the first day with wins of 4–3 and 8–1. Dominic Poltrone tossed a complete game in the Storm’s 8–1 victory, pitching seven innings while allowing just two hits, one run, two walks, and striking out eight. Ohio Dominican bounced back on day two with 7–1 and 7–6 victories. In game four, Jack Wells led the Panthers’ offense, going 3-for-4 with his first career home run.
- Thomas More vs. Hillsdale (3-1) Hillsdale traveled to Kentucky this weekend to face Thomas More and captured the series by winning three of four games. Great Midwest Athlete of the Week Rocco Tenuta delivered an incredible performance, batting .579 (11-for-19) with three doubles, three home runs, and nine RBIs over the weekend. Tenuta hit a go-ahead three-run home run in Hillsdale’s 7–4 win in the first game on Saturday and later added a grand slam in a 20–10 victory in the second game.
- KWC vs. Northwood (2-2) Two conference heavyweights met in the opening weekend of conference play as Kentucky Wesleyan faced Northwood. The series ended in a 2–2 split. Athlete of the Week Liam Hutson had a strong weekend for the Panthers, going 7-for-15 with three home runs, four runs scored, and five RBIs. Northwood claimed the first game 16–3 after senior Caden Duryea extended the lead to 10 runs in the ninth inning with an RBI triple.
