INDIANAPOLIS- Northwood’s Maeve St. John made history Thursday afternoon, earning Midwest Region Player of the Year honors for the first time in Northwood program history. The senior is coming off of her first G-MAC championship title, where she led the Timberwolves to a 64-53 win over Malone.
St. John, a senior from Howell, Michigan, averages 18.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 3.65 steals per game. During the regular season, St. John earned Athlete of the Week honors four times and had five games where she scored 30+ points. St. John is joined by Walsh’s Kiley Dyrlund as first-team all-region honorees.
Jenna Slates (AU), Erin Kaufman (MU), and Jenna Slates (AU) were honored as second-team all-region selections.
St. John and Dyrlund will automatically be places on the all-American ballot, that will be voted on in the coming weeks.
