INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Men’s cross country programs across the Great Midwest Athletic Conference are preparing for another season of high-level racing. With defending champions looking to repeat and traditional powers ready to reassert themselves as the 2025 campaign sets up for a thrilling fall on the trails.
Defending Champions
Hillsdale enters the season as the reigning Great Midwest men’s cross country champions. The Chargers broke through for their first-ever team title in 2024 with a tight pack and multiple All-Conference finishes. Even with key contributors graduating, Hillsdale returns a strong core determined to keep the program at the top of the standings.
Top Contenders
Findlay, last year’s runner-up by a razor-thin margin, is eager to challenge again. While the Oilers will look to replace the leadership of two-time conference champion Noah Fisher, their depth and experience position them well for another podium push. Walsh, the 2022 team champion, also returns with a group capable of competing at the highest level, led by athletes with proven success in conference and regional competition. Cedarville, anchored by 2024 Freshman of the Year Joseph Carroll, could be a dark horse in the team race as its younger roster continues to mature.
