MASON, Ohio- After four games at Prasco Park, the Northwood Timberwolves are the 2025 Great Midwest Baseball Champions. Northwood, the tourney’s No. 1 seed, went 4-0 in the event and held on to win the decisive game 9-3 over Ohio Dominican.
 
Northwood jumped to a 4-0 lead in the first before Ohio Dominican scored in the third inning to make the score 4-1. The Timberwolves extended their lead 9-1 as Josh Getz, Myles Beale, Brendan Hammer, and Ben DeVries would score.
 
Ohio Dominican’s Peter Jenlic and Gianna Passarelli would record one RBI apiece to make the final score 9-3.
 
For the Timberwolves, Caden Duryea led the way, going 3-4 from the plate. Danny Witbeck was credited with the win, striking out three batters through two innings.
 
Brad Baldwin and his team will earn the automatic qualifying bid to the Midwest Regional. The NCAA Division II selection show is set to air on Sunday, May 11 at 10:30 P.M. ET.
