The Great Midwest women’s basketball programs entered week five of the 2025-26 season. Teams continued conference play as Malone, Northwood, and Walsh remain undefeated in the conference with a perfect 4-0 mark.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
- The Walsh Cavaliers are tied for their best start in the NCAA era under first-year head coach Johnny Montello. Montello and the Cavaliers extended their conference record to a perfect 4-0 during week five with wins over Findlay and Ursuline. Kiley Dyrlund was once again a standout for Walsh, averaging a double-double with 20 points and 12.5 rebound. Dyrlund’s efforts earned her Player of the Week honors.
- The Pioneers from Malone University hold a perfect 10-0 mark with Erin Kaufman leading the way. Kaufman ranks fourth in the conference in scoring with 17.6 points per game. Malone collected two road wins over Cedarville and Lake Erie.
- Northwood rounds out the remaining undefeated teams in the conference, with wins over Northwood and Findlay. The Timberwolves went wire-to-wire with the Chargers with four lead changes throughout the contest. Lea Holmes tabbed a double-double in the win with 24 points and 10 rebounds.
- Kentucky Wesleyan and Thomas More recorded their program’s first-ever win over Ashland. The Panthers were led by Riley Neal who finished 10-17 on the day for 23 points. Emma Bruwer added 20 points as the Panthers outscored the Eagles 84-72. For Thomas More, a double overtime thriller put the Saints ahead of the Eagles 94-84. Rylee Leonard and Rylee Turner each scored 29 points apiece, with Turner grabbing a game-high 15 rebounds.
- Lake Erie recorded their first win of the season over Ursuline. Grace Lyon came off the bench to register a game-high 19 points on 9-13 from the field. The Storm forced the arrows to 15 turnovers.
