Walsh's Rethman Finishes 3rd at Nationals

KENOSHA, Wisc. – The Great Midwest Athletic Conference women’s cross country programs had a strong showing at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships on Saturday, November 22.
 
Walsh’s Claire Rethman was the highest G-MAC finisher, crossing the finish line in 3rd place. Rethman clocked a 6k time of 20.21.3. Her time of 20.21.3 shatters the previous top 6k time of 20.39.40, held by Cedarville’s Corinne Lynch.  Rethman and the Cavaliers finished
 
Hillsdale’s Allison Kuzma finished in 13th with a time of 20.38.7. Kuzma’s 13th place finish is the second-highest out of G-MAC runners.
 
The Cedarville Yellow Jackets finished in the top 10 as a team, finding themselves in 7th place. Emily Walsh was led the team with a time of 20:56.2. CU’s 7th place finish ties the highest team finish in G-MAC history.
