Ramon Rodriguez has been named USTFCCCA Midwest Region Athlete of the Year.
Rodriguez won the individual titles at the NCAA DII Midwest Regional, G-MAC Championships, and Lewis Crossover. The Tiffin senior also finished second at the Lucian Rosa Invitational.

Ramon Rodriguez won the Midwest Championship, leading the Dragons to a 4th-place finish.
Rodriguez's time of 30:17.27 is the fourth-fastest time in TU history and a personal best for Rodriguez. He becomes only the second TU runner to win a regional championship, joining James Ngandu who won back-to-back titles in 2016 and 2017.
Rodriguez, who will also be competing at the NCAA National Championships, becomes just the second TU cross country runner to earn the award. James Ngandu was also named Midwest Region Athlete of the Year in 2017.
