Rodriguez Wins Regionals; Cedarville Women Advance to Nationals for 6th Time in Program History

KENOSHA, Wis. – Great Midwest Cross Country teams had a strong showing at the 2025 Midwest Regional in Kenosha, Wisc. Tiffin’s Ramon Rodriguez, the 2025 Runner of the Year, was the highlight of the event, finishing first among over 100 runners.
 
Rodriguez clocked a 10k time of 30:17.27 to help push Tiffin to a 4th place finish. His time ranks 5th all-time in the G-MAC. Louis Ginane finished not far behind in 6th place,clocking a time of 30:37.13.
 
The Walsh Cavaliers finished 5th as a team after winning the G-MAC championship two weeks ago. Freshman of the Year David D’Altoria led the way, finishing 18th with a time of 31:21.2.
 
Ashland rounded out the top three G-MAC teams to finish with a team time of 2:39:29.2 for a 6th place finish.
 
On the women’s side, Allison Kuzma earned runner-up status with a 6k time of  20:42.02. Kuzma led the Chargers to an 11th place team finish.
 
Cedarville placed the highest of all G-MAC teams in second place.  Emily Walsh placed in the top 10 with a time of 21:04 and a 5:39 split. The Yellow Jackets will advance to the national meet for the 6th time in program history.
 
Walsh finished three places behind the Yellow Jackets in 5th, with a team time of 1:50.31. Claire Rethman, who’s been the Cavaliers’ top runner all season, crossed the finish line in 5th place with a time of 20:50.69.  
 
The 2025 NCAA Division II National meet will take place November 22 in Kenosha, Wisc.
