INDIANAPOLIS-- Annie Roshak of Ashland has earned the Great Midwest Athletic Conference’s highest female honor. Roshak, who just completed an outstanding basketball career at Ashland, will be recognized at the conference’s annual awards banquet Tuesday, May 21.
Roshak, a native of North Canton, Ohio was a standout athlete during her five years at Ashland. She was a member of the 2023 national championship team and graduated from Ashland with a master’s degree in Accounting. A two-time All-American, Roshak was the Great Midwest Player of the Year back-to-back years and led the Eagles to three straight conference tournament titles.
“Annie wraps her collegiate career as a team-first star that succeeded in delivering on the Eagles' expected high-level of excellence. Her accolades as the back-to-back G-MAC Women's Basketball Player of the Year and three-time regular season and tournament champion demonstrated achievements that will be hard for future women's basketball athletes to match,” said Great Midwest Commissioner Tom Daeger. “Annie has succeeded in all aspects of her collegiate career and set a tremendous example for all who will follow her in the league. It was a privilege to watch her journey in the G-MAC and we wish her the best as she takes on her next opportunities.”
Roshak finished her career as the leading scorer in program history with 2,370 career points.
Off the court, Roshak is heavily involved in the community. She is active in several outreach programs at Ashland and in her hometown including the Akron/Canton Food Bank and at Brethren Care in Ashland.
