SACRAMENTO, Calif.- The Great Midwest was well represented at the 2024 NCAA Cross Country Championships Saturday afternoon.
In the women’s 6K, Cedarville’s Emily Walsh was the highest Great Midwest finisher, clocking a time of 21:27.2. Walsh’s time was good for a 42
nd place finish. Corinne Lynch was not far behind, crossing the finish line in 51st place with a time of 21:37.9.
Tiffin’s Ines Macadam, the lone individual qualifier from the conference, finished 61
st with a time of 21:27.2.
On the men’s side, Findlay’s Noah Fisher was once again the highest finisher from the conference, leading the way with a 34
th place finish and a time of 30:21.2. Fisher’s time earned him all-American status for the second consecutive year. As a team, the Oilers finished 28
th in their first national meet appearance.
Talel Khalfi from Tiffin crossed the finish line in 30:30.0, good for a 38
th place finish. His time is the fastest 10k time in Tiffin program history.
