INDIANAPOLIS—Teams and individuals that secured automatic qualifications and at-large selections for the 2024 Men’s and Women’s Division II Cross Country Championships were announced Monday evening.
In order to be eligible for the national meet, student-athletes had to qualify in their respective NCAA regional competitions that were held last weekend.
Student-Athletes from the G-MAC competed in the Midwest regional this past weekend in Romeoville, Ill. On the women’s side, Ines Macadam became the first ever national qualifier in Tiffin program history. She placed fifth overall with a time of 21:34.84. Macadam was the highest G-MAC finisher on the women’s side, followed by Corinne Lynch from Cedarville. Lynch and the Yellow Jackets finished third overall and are the lone team representative from the conference. Cedarville clocked an average team time of 22:10.86 and had five individuals finish in the top 50.
On the men’s side, Findlay will advance to the national meet after finishing fifth overall. Two-time Great Midwest Runner of the Year Noah Fisher led the Oilers with a fourth place individual finish, clocking a time of 30:54.99. Jordan Foster also finished in the top 10 of the event, running a 10k time of 31:13.47. Tiffin’s Talel Khalfi crossed the finish line in fifth place, becoming one of four individual qualifiers from the Midwest region.
The NCAA Divison II National Championship is set to take place on Saturday, Nov. 23 at Arcade Creek Cross Country Course in Sacramento, California. The men’s race will being at 1:00 P.M. ET, followed by the women’s race at 2:15 P.M. ET.
