INDIANAPOLIS— Over 2,800 student-athletes from around the league were officially named to the 2022-23 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Academic All-Conference Team, that was released Thursday afternoon.

All member institutions, full and associate, once again contributed to significant number across the board. Student-athletes competing in 26 total championship sports were included in this year’s list gathered by the Faculty Athletic Representatives and the league’s Sports Information Directors.

The 2022-23 President’s Cup runner-up Findlay staked claim to the most individuals on the academic all-conference team list with 366 student-athletes.

Many schools saw significant spikes from their academic all-conference team numbers from a year ago, with a total of eleven institutions having over 150 individuals or more receiving the honor.

Associate member schools in Alderson Broaddus, Davis & Elkins, Hiram, Mercyhurst, Seton Hill, and Wheeling accounted for nearly 100 names alone.
