INDIANAPOLIS— The NCAA released their first tennis regional rankings of the 2023 season. Teams are listed as “under consideration” in the initial rankings and are listed in alphabetical order.
The Great Midwest is well-represented in both men’s and women’s rankings as three programs are mentioned on the men’s side and two are featured on the women’s.
Findlay, Hillsdale, and Tiffin represent teams from the Great Midwest in the men’s rankings. Tiffin is the only team with an undefeated conference record of 3-0 and an impressive 14-1 record this season. The Dragons are led by graduate student Ruben Fonga, who leads the conference in singles wins.
Both Hillsdale and Findlay have six losses on the year and stand at third and fifth in the conference standings.
On the women’s side, the top two teams in the conference, Findlay and Tiffin ,also find themselves under consideration in the Midwest region. Tiffin is undefeated in the conference and sit at 13-4 on the year. Findlay’s one conference loss is to the Dragons, putting the team at 4-1 in conference play.
The second set of rankings will have teams in numerical order based on season records.
