INDIANAPOLIS—The NCAA released the first edition of Baseball rankings for the 2023 season. Teams are initially listed as “under consideration”, with a ranked list to follow next week.
 
Three teams from the Great Midwest are mentioned in this week's edition.
 
Ashland and Northwood, the top two teams in the north division, both earned a spot in the Midwest Region.
 
Ohio Dominican, sitting at 23-18 on the season, joins the Eagles and Timberwolves as a team "under consideration" this week.
 
All three programs have clinched a spot in the Great Midwest Tournament, scheduled for May 10-13.
 
The second set of rankings will be released next Wednesday, May 3.
