Tiffin, Findlay Featured in ITA Rankings

TEMPE, AZ- The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released their Top 50 team, doubles, and singles rankings for the 2023 spring season. Both Men’s and Women’s teams from Tiffin University are featured in the team rankings as well as the University of Findlay women.
 
Tiffin ranks first in the conference on both sides with a 2-0 G-MAC record. The women hold an overall record of 12-3 and are slotted at No. 27, while the men hold an overall record at 12-1 and are ranked No. 20.  
 
Graduate student Ruben Fonga leads the Dragons, ranking second in Division II in the singles rankings. Fonga is 14-1 on the year and has secured three conference singles wins so far this season.
 
The doubles duo of Michael Gurtner and Matthew Telford find themselves ranked at No. 45 in doubles play. The pair is also undefeated in the conference at 3-0.
 
On the women’s side, the University of Findlay are polled at No. 37 and have a doubles pair in Emily Hadler and Zuzanna Krygier ranked at No.26. Doubles partners Carina Avram and Anaelle Lepinay of Tiffin are also featured in the doubles rankings at No. 43.
 
The ITA will release the next set of rankings on Wednesday, April 5.
