INDIANAPOLIS—The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) continues to rank as one of the nation’s top NCAA Division II conferences for academic success. The Great Midwest ranks in the top 10 in both Academic Success Rate (ASR) and Federal Graduation Rate (FGR) among all 23 D2 conferences nationwide.
 
The national office provided the report Wednesday (Dec. 6) afternoon, revealing the G-MAC as having the fifth-best FGR (66%) and eighth-best ASR (81%).
 
Additionally, the Great Midwest saw nine sports equal or exceed the 90% ASR mark.
 
The national four-year ASR average remained at 76%, according to the report.
 
The ASR was developed at the request of the president’s, who believed the federal graduation rate was obsolete. Division II’s ASR data includes student-athletes who transfer into a school and removes student-athletes who left the school in good academic
standing.
