JOPLIN, Mo. - The Great Midwest was well represented at the 2023 NCAA Cross Country Championships Saturday morning.
In the Women’s 6K, Liz Wamsley from Hillsdale College was the highest Great Midwest finisher, clocking a time of 20:11.9. Wamsley’s time was good for an 11
th place finish.
Cedarville’s Hannah Rhem and Savannah Ackley led the Yellow Jackets to a 10th place team finish. Rhem finished 21
st with a time of 20:29.3, while Ackley crossed the finish line in 38th place.
Wamsley, Rhem, and Ackley earned All-American honors after finishing in the Top 40 of individuals.
On the men’s side, Noah Fisher led the way with a 12
th place finish in the 10K. Fisher registered a time of 29:39.2. His 12
th place finish earned the Defiance, Ohio native Cross Country All-America honors.
The Walsh Cavaliers earned a 29
th place team finish with 723 points. Mitchel Dunham led the Cavaliers, finishing in the top 100 with a time of 31:10.5.
