FINDLAY, Ohio- In the regular season finale, the Dragons from Tiffin University were crowned regular season Great Midwest football champions by defeating the University of Findlay Oilers Saturday, 26-7.
This is Tiffin’s third football title since joining the G-MAC during the 2017-2018 school year. The Dragons currently hold the most football titles in conference history and are the only team in G-MAC history to complete a perfect regular season at 11-0.
Tiffin scored on the opening drive as they registered 97 yards in just three plays. Carson Gresock tabbed a game-high three touchdowns and 97 yards on the day. Gresock’s teammate Devin Nelson led the game in rushing with 125 yards on 15 carries.
The Dragon defense held the Oilers to just one touchdown and 280 yards of total offense. Patrick Tueimeh led the charge with a game-high nine tackles, including seven solo tackles.
Tiffin, who is ranked No. 2 in Super-Region One, will now await the NCAA Selection Show on Sunday at 6 P.M. ET to learn of their postseason fate.
