OWENSBORO, Kentucky - The two Great Midwest tennis championships were a Tiffin sweep. The Tiffin women's tennis team matched its male counterpart by winning 4-2 Saturday afternoon to win the 2022 Great Midwest Women's Tennis Championship.
Findlay won at Nos. 1 and 3 doubles for the doubles point, but the Dragons (21-4 overall) took four bouts in singles play for the championship. Top to bottom, it was Tiffin's day. Emily Barrett won at No. 1 singles and Jessica Peace won at No. 6, both in straight sets. After Anaelle Lepinay won at No. 4, the clincher was a three-set win by Allessandra Maganuco at No. 5.
Tiffin, the No. 2 seed in the tourney, will be the automatic qualifier into NCAA Regional play. TU has won nine straight duals dating back to mid-March.
