INDIANAPOLIS – A pair of respective 4-0 performances in tournament play propelled Ohio Dominican and Trevecca Nazarene to Great Midwest Athletic Conference Volleyball Players of the Week for the South Division as announced on Tuesday.

Ohio Dominican rolled their opponents to the tune of a 4-0 mark at the Golden Eagle Invitational hosted by Charleston as the sophomore Kirksey posted monster numbers.
While hitting .372 for the weekend, Kirksey delivered a total of 62 kills while averaging 3.9 per set. In three of those matches, the right side had at least 15 or more kills.
She recorded a career-high 23 kills in a four-set win over Indiana (PA) and also added seven total blocks.
Kirksey really only made one appearance during the spring in the conference tournament vs. Cedarville but so far has finished with double-digit kill totals in seven of the Panthers’ eight matches in the fall.
Kirksey is averaging 3.65 kills, 1.13 digs and 0.42 blocks, per game while hitting .287.

After teammate Ellie Buffler earned offensive honors in Week 2, it was Martin’s turn to represent the program for defensive accolades as the Trojans stand as the league’s lone unbeaten team at 7-0.
The senior collected 49 digs over four matches with seven blocks and four service aces on the week. Martin infused offensive support with 33 kills (2.06 PS) and a .168 attack percentage and four assists. Martin collected two double-doubles with 10 kills and 18 digs versus Christian Brothers and 13 kills and digs against Arkansas Monticello.
Trevecca opened the season going 3-0 at the UAH Invitational before going 4-0 in week two in the Ray Thrasher Memorial Tournament at Trevecca’s Trojan Fieldhouse.
The 7-0 Trojans beat Christian Brothers 3-2, Erskine 3-0, Arkansas Monticello 3-2, and Union University 3-0. It is the best start for TNU volleyball in NCAA Era (10 years) and best since 2003-2004 team started 8-0.
