INDIANAPOLIS - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced the 2021 Division II Men’s and Women’s ITA Scholar Athletes and All-Academic Teams on Tuesday.
In 2021, 711 Division II Women student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete and 104 women’s tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction. 523 Division II Men student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete and 80 men’s tennis programs were named to the All-Academic Team.
From the Great Midwest, three full-member institutions as well as two emerging institutions were named Women’s All-Academic Teams. Cedarville, Findlay and Hillsdale, along with Ashland (2021-22) and Northwood (2022-23) were awarded with the All-Academic Team title.
Cedarville, Hillsdale, Ashland and Northwood were named Men’s All-Academic Teams.
A total of 21 women’s tennis student-athletes and 11 men’s tennis student-athletes from the Great Midwest were named ITA Scholar Athletes. Additionally, 2021-22 member, Ashland, had eight student-athletes earn scholar athlete status and 2022-23 member, Northwood, had 12 named to the list.
