Official USILA Announcement

INDIANAPOLIS
– Associate membership from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference was spotted all over the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-American teams for the 2021 spring season.

NCAA Championship North Region qualifiers Mercyhurst and Seton Hill were each represented among Division II’s elite as selected by the USILA.

The Lakers, regular season and conference tournament champions, were semifinalists in the national tournament while Seton Hill advanced to the opening round as part of the NCAA Championship field.

Attack Caleb Kueber and defender Tommy Angelicola, conference players of the year at their respective positions, were both USILA First Team All-Americans. Also making the top list was teammate and midfielder Nathan Grenon.

Grenon was tabbed as the winner of the Lt. J.G. Donald MacLaughlin Jr. award, presented to the most outstanding midfielder in Division II. The senior from Stittsville, Ontario, has epitomized exellence in his career with first team all-conference honors in 2019 and 2021 while earning second team accolades in 2018.

This spring, Grenon compiled a stat line of 43 points with 32 goals and 11 assists.

On the third team, Mercyhurst’s Devin Pipher made the list and six more student-athletes from the Lakers and Griffins were on the honorable mention team. Previously in the organization's postseason award process, a total of 16 men's lacrosse student-athletes from the Great Midwest were designated with USILA All-North Region Team honors.
