Official IWLCA Announcement
INDIANAPOLIS – One of the best to wear a uniform in the sport in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, Tiffin’s Elle Hamilton, was named to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Midwest Region Team.
Hamilton, the reigning Great Midwest Midfielder of the Year and previous conference player of the year in 2019, was named to the first team.
The IWLCA Midwest Region pool of award winners contains programs from the Great Midwest, Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC).
Hamilton was a member of the IWLCA Second Team All-Midwest Region list in 2019 when she was a junior for the Dragons, their first year of competition as a full member institution.
From Victoria, B.C., Hamilton has completed two full playing seasons in the Great Midwest with strong numbers across the board at her midfield position.
Hamilton finished the 2021 spring with 56 goals and 16 assists for a total of 72 points in 15 games played. She helped the Dragons to the Great Midwest Championship title match against Walsh.
Hamilton also added 97 draw controls and 31 caused turnovers while picking up 49 ground balls. The senior was the league leader in goals per game (3.73), points per game (4.80), draw controls per game (6.47) and ground balls per game (3.27).
She has been named first team all-conference in both seasons since Tiffin joined the league.
