MIDLAND, Mich. - The Hillsdale men's and women's tennis programs postseason runs came to an end at the hands of top-seeded UIndy in the NCAA DII Championship Midwest Regional on May 8.

In the regional semifinals, the Hillsdale men fell to UIndy 4-0 at the Greater Midland Tennis Center. The Chargers were shorthanded as they were unable to compete in No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles. The HC men advanced to the regional semis after a no contest was declared vs. their original opponent in the quarterfinals, Illinois-Springfield.

UIndy won a close doubles match (6-4) over Hillsdale's No. 2 doubles team of Daniel Gilbert and Brian Hackman to clinch the doubles point. UIndy then picked up wins at No. 1 and 3 singles to clinch the match.

The Chargers end the season with an overall record of 15-3 and a perfect 7-0 record in the league that earned them the regular season and tournament championships.

On the women's side, Hillsdale fell to the top-seeded Greyhounds, 4-0 in the Midwest Regional semifinal. The Chargers, playing without top singles and doubles player Hannah Cimpeanu, put up a valiant effort taking two games at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles before the Greyhounds were able to take the doubles point.
