INDIANAPOLIS - Findlay and Tiffin take home Great Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week honors released Wednesday.

Findlay added a pair of wins over Ursuline last week (22-4, 20-9) to improve to 3-2 in the league and 5-6 overall, sitting third in the conference standings. Ciara Burud helped power the Oiler offense that scored 20 or more goals in both games. 

The senior finished the week with 14 goals and two assists. She also won seven draw controls and picked up five ground balls. In the first game with Ursuline, Burud finished with seven goals on eleven shots. She nearly mirrored her stats in the second game of the week with another seven goals on eleven shots. She added one assist in each game. 

Burud ranks second in the league in goals with 40, averaging 3.6 goals per game. She is also second in points with 51 on the season, averaging 4.6 per game. Burud ranks sixth in assists with 11, averaging one per game. 

This is the second time this season that Burud has earned conference weekly honors, as she first did on April 13.

The Dragons remain at the top of the conference standings after defeating Ursuline 19-4 to improve to 4-1 in the league and 5-7 overall. 

Rennie played 30 minutes in goal to earn the win, making seven saves on eight shots. 

The freshman leads the league in goals against average (11.91) and save percentage (.511) with 96 total saves. 

This marks back-to-back weekly honors for the Tiffin goalkeeper and the third time all season that she has earned the award.
