Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week (April 13)

INDIANAPOLIS – Deep in the heart of the league schedule, Findlay and Walsh received a share of Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Lacrosse Players of the Week that were announced on Tuesday.

The Oilers earned their second victory of the spring in a tough road test at Walsh as Burud helped lead the offensive charge.
 
Findlay beat Walsh by a 15-10 score as the senior all-conference midfielder produced a game-high five goals, four draw controls and picked up three ground balls.
 
It was also a season-high goal total for Burud after netting three goals in games against Davenport, Northern Michigan and Ashland. She scored her five goals against Walsh on an efficient eight shots taken.
 
Burud has scored at least two goals in all seven games this season and now has 20 goals and six assists.

Kotulock earned defensive weekly honors for the second time this spring as the Cavaliers had a split in conference play with a win vs. Tiffin and loss vs. Findlay.
 
The Cavaliers defeated preseason favorite Tiffin in a very close 13-11 final. Kotulock had seven draw controls and forced four different turnovers in the defensive cause.
 
Kotulock picked up one ground ball and the Cavaliers defense limited Tiffin to just four second-half goals.
 
Later in the weekend, the senior had two more ground balls and three draw controls in the effort against Findlay.
