INDIANAPOLIS - Four Great Midwest teams officially advanced into the extended postseason of March Madness, as Cedarville, Kentucky Wesleyan, Tiffin and Walsh, earned bids to the Atlantic Regional following Sunday night's NCAA Selection Show.
The 2021 Division II women's basketball championship will have a reduced bracket size of 48 teams with each regional bracket consisting of six teams. The top two teams will receive a bye into the regional semifinals.
Tiffin earned the conference's AQ after winning the Great Midwest women's basketball championship tournament on Saturday afternoon. The winner of that game will face No. 2 Glenville State, who received a first-round bye.
Cedarville received the No. 4 seed and Walsh the No. 5 seed, as they will face off in the regional quarterfinals. The winner of that matchup will take on No. 1 Charleston, who also received a first-round bye.
