INDIANAPOLIS – With teams wrapping up finals and heading into the holiday break, Ursuline was pronounced as the recipient for Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week honors.
Nationally ranked Ashland is No. 8 in the most recent WBCA Poll in Division II and the Eagles are the league’s lone unbeaten so far at 4-0. AU has won six straight and is holding off several teams with one league loss including Kentucky Wesleyan, Walsh, Hillsdale and Ursuline.

The Arrows had a busy stretch and played three games in the past week while earning a pair of conference victories against Malone and Lake Erie with Green leading the way with some standout performances.
Green averaged almost 22 points per game while shooting over 50 percent from the field in all three games combined.
The senior guard erupted for a season-high 27 points against Malone with the short-handed Arrows using just six players in a 77-70 win.
Green was 7-of-12 from the field and added three assists and three rebounds as Ursuline shot almost 50 percent from the floor as a team. She also made 12 free throws in 35 minutes of court time.
Green also played 35 minutes vs. Lake Erie and was out on the floor for 37 more minutes against Tiffin in a close final. She poured in a team-high 20 points on 7-of-14 shooting and against Lake Erie, netted 18 more with a perfect showcase at the free throw line (8-8).
Green is now averaging 18.8 points per game this season and is shooting exactly 50 percent from the field (45-90) while connecting at nearly 93 percent from the charity stripe (50-54). The Arrows improved to 5-3 overall and are 2-1 in the league standings.
