INDIANAPOLIS - With Findlay and Hillsdale back in the pools, the first round of Great Midwest Swimming and Diving Athletes of the Week were announced Tuesday afternoon.
The Findlay men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams competed in a dual meet at Grand Valley on Saturday. The men fell to Grand Valley 193-91 and the women were defeated 209-77.
The Hillsdale women’s team hosted Indiana Wesleyan on Saturday. The Chargers won the meet, 132-70.
The Findlay men and women will next compete at Ashland on January 23 and the Hillsdale women will travel to Bethel University on that same date.

Coming off of an all-American season, Tim Stollings picked right back up where he left off. Stollings earned first place in the 100 backstroke at Grand Valley with a time of 50.92. Stollings is the reigning conference champion in that event and was named all-American in that event last season.
The sophomore placed second in the 50 freestyle (21.68) and 100 butterfly (49.62). Stollings is the current Findlay record holder for the 100 butterfly, with the time of 46.53, set last season. Stollings also participated in the 200 medley relay on Saturday, finishing runner-up.
Women’s Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week

Freshman, Cecilia Guadalupi, started her career on a high note as she won the 100 breaststroke, 200 IM and 200 medley relay while leading her team to a win over Indiana Wesleyan.
Guadapali swam a time of 1:10.07 in the 100 breaststroke and a time of 2:14.17 in the 200 IM. She also joined teammates Leah Tunney, Anna Clark and Carissa Henderson to touch first in the 200 medley relay (1:53.79).
