INDIANAPOLIS – Alderson Broaddus University, a Great Midwest Athletic Conference member institution since 2013, has announced intention to join the Mountain East Conference effective for the upcoming academic year. 
 
The following is a statement from Great Midwest Commissioner Tom Daeger. 
 
“The Great Midwest extends our appreciation to Alderson Broaddus for the time the institution has contributed to conference membership. We wish them well and thank President Tim Barry and Athletic Director Carrie Bodkins for their efforts within our leadership structure.”
 
“As our membership has evolved, we could not be prouder of the Conference we have built and are excited about our bright future.”
 
The Great Midwest made an additional announcement in May, welcoming the addition of Ashland University as a full member institution for the 2021-22 academic year.
