INDIANAPOLIS – Two USILA top-10 ranked teams are on a collision course this weekend as Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men’s Lacrosse Players of the Week awards continued through the spring.
With the fall of previous No. 1 Limestone, dominoes fell a little bit as undefeated Mercyhurst (5-0 overall) inched up closer and is now ranked second nationally in Division II.
The Lakers had been fourth for three straight weeks, including the preseason, before getting bumped to third and now, only Le Moyne stands in the way of being ranked No. 1.
Despite two victories, Seton Hill (6-0, 1-0 G-MAC) moved from No. 6 to No. 7 in the poll. A lot of eyes will be on Saturday’s conference clash between the Griffins and Lakers on Saturday in Erie, Pa., for regular season supremacy not only in the league but the North Region.

Maloni and the Griffins were at home for a pair of wins as Seton Hill toppled both Roberts Wesleyan and Georgian Court.
The senior came up with big production as he accounted for nine goals and two assists going into Saturday’s showdown vs. Mercyhurst.
In the 12-3 win vs. RWC, Maloni found the net five times -- all in the first half. He recorded three consecutive goals in less than a two-minute span as his solo offensive flurry gave SHU as an 8-2 lead at the break.
Against 4-4 Georgian Court in a closer final, Maloni scored four times with a pair of goals in each half. Seton Hill unleashed a total of 60 shots against Georgian Court, including a 19-4 disparity in the third period.
This is Maloni’s third conference career weekly honor and second of the 2020 season.

Collegeville, PA (Perkiomen Valley HS)
Mo was selected for his second conference weekly honor on the defensive side of the field after racking up two more winning decisions tending net.
After playing in just seven contests as a sophomore, Mo has seen a significant uptick in playing time alongside All-American Max Eismann.
Mo had the majority of the timeshare in the Roberts Wesleyan win. The junior made 10 saves while permitting just three in over 46 minutes on the field.
Mo then played all of regulation in the cage vs. Georgian Court, making 15 stops on a total of 39 shots by the opposition.
