INDIANAPOLIS – Stemming from more dual victories in non-conference action, Tiffin and Hillsdale secured Great Midwest Athletic Conference Tennis Athletes of the Week honors announced on Thursday.

The Dragons scored a pair of regional victories, bringing down Ashland and Ferris State from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, by 4-3 scores.
The freshman produced some big moments while being responsible for the winning points in both matchups. Each of those contests from the No. 6 position in singles also went to the third set.
Against Ashland, he defeated Jacob Hoffman 4-6, 7-6, 6-4, before defeating Ferris State's Cedric Rupa, 6-3, 1-6, 6-1.
He also paired with Matthew Telford for a 6-3 doubles victory against Ferris State, ranked fifth in the Midwest Region by the ITA.
Women’s Athlete of the Week

The senior all-conference performer Matthews won both of her matches in Hillsdale's win over one of the top teams in the GLIAC, Michigan Tech, Sunday afternoon.
She won at No. 3 doubles, but provided a key win at No. 4 singles, winning in straight sets to help the Chargers to a 4-3 win over a Huskies team that was 9-3 coming into the match.
Matthews is a perfect 10-0 in singles and doubles competition on the season.
This is her third conference career weekly honor.
