INDIANAPOLIS – Tiffin and Alderson Broaddus split a share of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Lacrosse Players of the Week recognition that was announced on Tuesday.

Offensive Player of the Week
Elle Hamilton
Tiffin
Attack
Senior
Victoria, B.C. (Claremont SS)

Hamilton and the Dragons scored a home win vs. Ashland before getting ready to hit the road vs. Lindenwood and Slippery Rock.

The reigning conference player of the year was in midseason form as Hamilton filled up the stat sheet with nine points – 9 goals and an assist.

Pretty much every shot the senior attempted landed in the net; Hamilton scored her eight goals on just nine shots. The all-region performer picked up three ground balls and caused two turnovers.

Hamilton also helped the Dragons with 13 draw controls as Tiffin won by a final score of 19-10. She is coming off a season where she led the league with 77 goals and helped guide TU to the regular season conference title.

Defensive Player of the Week
Leslie Diaz
Alderson Broaddus
Midfield
Sophomore
Orlando, FL (Colonial HS/Notre Dame (OH))

The Battlers are off to a great start in the win column, delivering a victory for head coach Paxton Boyer in her debut on the sidelines.

Diaz was a big reason by the Alderson Broaddus defense permitted just five goals in a season-opening win against West Virginia Wesleyan.

She was credited with seven draw controls, one caused turnover and collected a pair of ground balls.

Diaz also contributed to the offensive cause from her midfield position, scoring two goals.
