INDIANAPOLIS – Four different student-athletes were recognized as United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA)/Warrior and New Balance Preseason All-Americans in Division II as announced on Wednesday.
Mercyhurst had senior defenseman Will Agate, junior attack Devin Pipher and junior midfielder Nathan Grenon, all picked on the second team.
Seton Hill senior and two-time Great Midwest Goalkeeper of the Year Max Eismann was also selected on the second team as a preseason All-American at his position.
The Great Midwest Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches Poll was released earlier this week and the top two teams, Mercyhurst and Seton Hill, were also polled in the USILA’s Top 10 for the first national ranking.
Mercyhurst is ranked fourth only behind Limestone, Le Moyne and Adelphi, while Seton Hill will start the spring polled seventh nationally. Lake Erie is on the USILA radar having received seven votes past the top 20 ranked programs.
Mercyhurst and Seton Hill both qualified for the NCAA Championship North Regional to finish the postseason in 2019.
The Lakers toppled the Griffins in the conference championship matchup.
