Twenty-four student-athletes were named to either the first or second team and there were six total individual awards as voted upon by the coaches.

No. 1 seed Tiffin is serving as host for this year’s tournament and the Dragons are completing their first year with the conference as a league member.

TU led all teams with seven all-conference selections, including four on the first team. Conference runner-up Findlay was close behind with six, mirroring Tiffin’s four first-team honorees.

Four also made it from Walsh, defending conference champ Lake Erie had two along with Davis & Elkins and Ohio Valley had two selections.

The Great Midwest Player of the Year Tiffin junior midfielder Elle Hamilton, a three-time recipient of offensive player of the week honors this season.

Hamilton was second in the conference in points (89) and was the league leader in goal scored with 77. She averaged almost five points per game and over four goals per contest.

Hamilton’s best game of the year was an eight-goal effort against Findlay, a contest that helped the Dragons officially clinch the regular-season title and top seed for the conference tournament.

On the other side of the field, Findlay junior Brittany Stephens was tabbed as the Great Midwest Defensive Player of the Year.

Stephens has been the catalyst for the Oilers defensive attack, which leads the league in caused turnovers per game at 10.65. Stephens, who was also a first team all-conference pick, has recorded 49 ground balls and caused 23 turnovers for the Oilers in 2019.

Earning the nod as the top rookie was Walsh’s Hannah McFeeters, named Great Midwest Freshman of the Year.

McFeeters capped her first regular season with a team-high 49 goals, setting the Walsh program record for goals in a season. She added six assists, 32 groundballs and 19 caused turnovers. She also led the team with 60 draw controls.

McFeeters was a big reason why Walsh led the conference as a team in goals per game with almost 15.

After being voted by her peers, Tiffin’s Erica Brown was billed as the Great Midwest Coach of the Year. It has been an impressive ride for the Dragons, who enter the postseason ranked sixth in the Midwest Region rankings.

Brown guided the Dragons to a regular-season conference title and the top seed in the conference tournament. Tiffin’s defense allowed just under nine goals per game and featured a heavy dose of nationally-ranked competition throughout the spring including Lock Haven, Mercyhurst, Regis, Colorado Mesa, Lindenwood and Florida Southern.
