INDIANAPOLIS - Weather was a little dicey but for the most part, teams were still able to fit in another four-game series as Great Midwest Athletic Conference Baseball Players of the Week rolled along for the spring.
Just like in the softball standings, Ohio Dominican is on top as the Panthers currently sport a 6-2 league record. ODU was the preseason coaches poll favorite and the program was ranked in the top 25 earlier this year.
Tied for third is Lake Erie, Trevecca Nazarene and Kentucky Wesleyan. Five more teams are locked at 4-4 as the conference schedule continues this week.

In a four-game set against Alderson Broaddus, Hillard helped the Panthers salvage a series split by batting .615 (8-for-13) over the weekend.
Hillard had nine RBI and scored eight runs while ripping four extra-base hits, including three home runs. He walked five times, stole a base and doubled once.
He homered and walked twice in the series opener while going 2-for-3 at the plate. ODU won both of Sunday’s games as Hillard enjoyed a monster day at the dish.
In game one, Hillard had seven RBI and launched a pair of home runs while going 4-for-5. He belted a three-run blast in his first at-bat and homered in the second inning, a two-run shot.
In 21 games, Hillard is now batting .387 to go with 21 RBI, 27 runs, 29 hits and 13 extra-base hits.
This is Hillard’s second conference player of the week honor for the current season.

Recently becoming the school’s all-time leader in strikeouts, Lemasters didn’t skip a beat during his next through the rotation against Trevecca Nazarene.
Lemasters tossed a gem to help the Storm win the series against the Trojans, who were coming off an impressive series-opening sweep over Malone the previous weekend.
Lemasters continues to rack up the strikeouts in bunches, this time reaching into double-digits with 10 to toss a complete game four-hitters vs. TNU on Saturday.
The senior righty was touched for just one run on four hits and used just 98 pitches to get through the full seven innings. The Storm gave their starting pitcher five runs of support.
This is his second conference pitcher of the week honor for the current season. He improved to 3-0 on the season with a 29.3 ERA and five starts made.
He currently leads all pitchers in the Great Midwest with 43 strikeouts.
