INDIANAPOLIS – Davis & Elkins and Alderson Broaddus each earned a share of Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Lacrosse Players of the Week awards that were announced on Tuesday.
Davis & Elkins and Walsh are each 5-1 overall. while all eight teams are still waiting to play their first conference games.

The Senators have enjoyed back-to-back weekly offensive conference honors with the selection of Angelina Horan last week and Sumner this week.
D&E has won five straight, including wins against Mars Hill and Notre Dame (OH) in its most recent successful stretch.
Sumner provided offensive punch with 11 goals combined as the Senators outscored their opponents 32-18.
She also had five ground balls and caused two turnovers while taking 21 shots.

Harper helped the Battlers earn their first win of the spring against Mars Hill with a final score of 18-11.
The junior matched her season-high ground ball total with seven and caused five turnovers to lead all players in terms of average for the week.
Harper also had seven ground balls vs. West Virginia Wesleyan earlier this year. She has started and played in all eight games for AB.
