INDIANAPOLIS – The spring portion of the season was underway for several teams as Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men’s & Women’s Tennis Athletes of the Week honors were released on Thursday.
Men’s Athlete of the Week
Charlie Adams
Hillsdale
Junior

The Chargers had duals against Midwest Region competition on back-to-back days while earning 4-3 wins against Ashland and Davenport.
Adams did his part and then some by going a combined 4-0 in singles and doubles action.
Adams won in straight sets against Ashland’s Priyank Soni in the No. 1 singles bout, 6-4, 6-4. He also teamed up with Justin Hyman for a doubles victory to contribute to the team point with a 6-4 decision.
At home on Sunday, Adams won in straight sets vs. Davenport’s No. 1, Remy Johansen, 6-1, 6-3. He worked with Hyman again for another doubles win, this time by a 7-5 final.
This is Adams’ fourth career conference weekly honor since the Chargers joined the Great Midwest in 2017. Hillsdale is the defending conference champion and the Chargers were picked first in the preseason coaches poll.
Women’s Athlete of the Week
Juliette Sirgant
Sophomore

Tiffin started the new calendar year on a high note with back-to-back duals wins against Lewis and Ohio Wesleyan on the road.
The Dragons had competed in three separate tournaments during the fall portion of the season in Oberlin, Bowling Green and the Northwest Ohio Invite.
Sirgant was a combined 4-0 in singles and doubles competition as the Dragons start the spring ranked No. 10 in the ITA Regional rankings.
She toppled Joie Reisch in the No. 3 matchup, 6-1, 6-4, while combining with Lauren Prince for a 6-4 combo win in No. 2 doubles.
The results were similar for Sirgant against OWU with a clean sweep in singles and another doubles win with Prince.
