INDIANAPOLIS – Hillsdale continues to get bumped up in the national rankings as Great Midwest Athletic Conference Volleyball Players of the Week awards went to the Chargers as announced Monday.
 
The Chargers officially clinched their playoff bid to the Great Midwest Championship tournament along with Walsh as both programs remain unbeaten in the league standings.
 
At 19-3, Hillsdale is currently ranked 13th nationally, while Walsh is currently winners in five straight.
 
Offensive Player of the Week
Allyssa Van Wienen

It was just business as usual for Van Wienen as she locked down the middle in a pair of road victories for the Chargers at Trevecca Nazarene and Kentucky Wesleyan.
 
In six sets, she tallied 24 kills and had five blocks with a weekend hitting percentage at .523.
 
She had 13 kills with a .522 hitting percentage Friday night vs. a Trojan squad that had been #2 in the conference in opponents' hitting percentage.
 
Saturday, she led Hillsdale with 13 kills and didn't have a single attack error while hitting .524 in a 3-0 sweep of a Panthers team that was 6-2 in the G-MAC coming into the match.
 
Van Wienen continues to lead the conference with a .436 hitting percentage on the season. This is her third conference offensive weekly honor for the current season.

Averaging numbers that already exceeded her conference-leading dig totals, Wiese continues to make waves for the Chargers in her final season.
 
Wiese became just the second player in school history to record 2,000 digs in a career during Hillsdale's two road wins over Trevecca and Kentucky Wesleyan over the weekend.
 
In the two 3-0 sweeps, Wiese averaged 7.2 digs per set, finishing with 16 against Trevecca and 27 against Kentucky Wesleyan.
 
Her nine digs per set vs. the Panthers is a season-high, and in that match she had a season-high 5 service aces.
 
Wiese averaged 1.2 service aces per set over the weekend.
