INDIANAPOLIS – For the South Division, Alderson Broaddus and Trevecca received Great Midwest Athletic Conference Baseball Players of the Week awards as announced on Monday afternoon.

Hooker had a remarkable four-game stretch as the Battlers had a pair of doubleheaders against Lock Haven and Jefferson over the weekend.
He belted five home runs, drove in 11 runs and scored nine times while hitting .625 at the plate (10-for-16).
The most notable game was a 4-for-4 effort with a single-game conference record three home runs and seven RBI to start the Jefferson series. Hooker also had a pair of three-hit performances in each game of the Lock Haven series.
He also doubled and reached base after being hit by a pitch.
The seven RBI is the second most in a single-game in league history; David Lenhardt (Cedarville) and Hunter Newman (Trevecca) each had eight RBI in 2013 and 2015, respectively.
In eight games, Hooker is off to a torrid start at the plate with a scorching .536 batting average and a 1.143 slugging percentage. He has 15 hits in 28 at-bats and earned conference player of the week honors for the second time in his career.
South Division Pitcher of the Week
Ryan Shultz

Shultz had the strikeout pitch working with the winning decision against Midwest Region opponent Truman State.
The senior all-conference southpaw struck out 10 hitters with seven-inning complete game performance. The Trojans won by a score of 13-3 as Shultz yielded two earned runs on just three hits.
Shultz lowered his season ERA down to 3.63 and is now 1-2 on the spring with 19 strikeouts in 17.1 innings pitched.
