INDIANAPOLIS – Ursuline junior Cydney Bartlett and senior Lauren Cole were named Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Lacrosse Players of the Week on Monday.

Bartlett racked up her third G-MAC Offensive Player of the Week award while Cole received the defensive honor for the first time this spring.

The Arrows completed a 2-0 week in conference play while going on the road to take down Alderson Broaddus and Davis & Elkins.

Ursuline improved to 6-5 overall while remaining in first place in the updated league standings.

Bartlett, the reigning G-MAC Offensive Player of the Year, scored eight goals and assisted three more to tally 11 points.

Bartlett, a talented midfielder who hails from the West Coast in Portland, Ore., had four goals and two assists in the win against AB and added five more points with four goals and an assist against D&E.

The Arrows are now averaging a G-MAC-best 13.27 goals per contest and Bartlett has a share of the league lead in all three major offensive categories (goals, assists, points). She has 38 goals, 11 assists and 49 points in just 11 games played.

Cole made 11 saves in the full 60 minutes of action against Alderson Broaddus. The Battlers and Arrows met in last year’s inaugural conference championship final and Cole, a native of Brighton, Mich., made sure Ursuline was a winner in the rematch.

Cole has played in 10 of the team’s 11 games and has a league-best 10.76 goals against average. Her save percentage of .478 also tops the conference.
