G-MAC Women’s Lacrosse Players of the Week (March 13)

INDIANAPOLIS – Alderson Broaddus senior Jasmine Barham and junior Fallyn Gonzales were named Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Lacrosse Players of the Week on Monday.
 
The Battlers improved to 4-1 overall after beating the District of Columbia and Wimington (Del.). AB is in the middle of an eight-game stretch on the road to being the spring season.
 
Barham was pronounced G-MAC Offensive Player of the Week for the third time already this season.
 
Gonzales netted G-MAC Defensive Player of the Week honors for the first time in her career.
 
Barham was an offensive force once again with a combined 13 points (eight goals and five assists) in both wins.
 
She scored five goals in the game against District of Columbia and produced a balanced three goal, three-assist effort against Wilmington. Barham now leads the conference in goals (16), assists (9) and points (25).
 
Gonzales made 13 saves against Wilmington while playing all 60 minutes in net. Wilmington fired off 28 shots to AB’s 27.
 
Gonzales was also credited with three ground balls and lowered her goals against average to a conference-leading 10.57.
