GREENWOOD, Ind. - Another Davis & Elkins freshman, this time David Magda, received Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week honors on Monday.

After teammate Hayden Harrison earned G-MAC weekly honors earlier this fall, it was Magda's turn as the Senators continue to turn heads and officially put opponents on notice as the conference meet looms closer.

Leading Davis & Elkins to its third straight victory was Magda at the Lock Haven Invitational. Magda finished with a time of 25:49.2, which is not only a personal best, but also ranks as the second-fastest time in the G-MAC in the 8K distance this season.

In Magda's first time leading the Senators, the team finished ahead of nationally-ranked Lock Haven and regionally-ranked Slippery Rock.

Magda earned a fourth place finish at the invite, and had two other Senators join him in the top 15. Harrison earned a fourth-place finish and senior Matt Zorn finished in 15th.
