GREENWOOD, Ind. - Davis & Elkins freshman Hayden Harrison has been named the second Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the fall on Monday.
As a team, Davis & Elkins has opened their season two straight first-place finishes. The season opener resulted in a team win at the Eagle Country Challenge in Virginia.
This time around under first-year head coach Jason Pyles, the Senators took the title at the Bethany College Invite on Saturday with an impressive collaborative effort from all competitors.
Harrison was the first to cross the finish line for the Senators and placed third overall with a time of 27:42 in the 8K.
The Senators have a weekend off before they travel to Lock Haven, Pa., on Sept. 24 to compete in the Lock Haven Invite (8K).
