GREENWOOD, Ind. – Alderson Broaddus senior midfielder/defender Tia Kline was named the ninth Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Lacrosse Athlete of the Week on Monday.
Kline is one of the building blocks for the Battlers’ emerging program and celebrated Senior Day in style with a win against Davis & Elkins.
AB set a program record for goals scored in a game with 23.
Despite not scoring a point, Kline’s impact was felt all over the field. She factored defensively with five ground balls and four caused turnovers.
This season in the G-MAC, Kline ranks seventh in assists (0.47), first in ground balls (3.20), fifth in draw controls (1.73) and first in caused turnovers (2.60).
The Battlers are 2-1 in the G-MAC and 8-7 overall. Kline has started all 15 games this season.
Kline and her team look to this busy week with two contests against Walsh and later with conference opponent Ursuline in an intriguing rematch.
