GREENWOOD, Ind. - Cedarville junior Lauren Jackson was named the second Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week for the 2015-16 spring season.
Jackson and the Yellow Jackets returned from their Spring Break trip in Florida that included stops in Casselberry, Altamonte Springs and Orlando.
Jackson fashioned together a 3-2 record at the No. 1 singles position while going an unblemished 5-0 in doubles competition, also in the No. 1 pairing.
She has played all 10 matches during her junior campaign anchoring the singles lineup in the No. 1 slot.
Jackson collected singles wins vs. Judson, Sioux Falls and against fellow G-MAC member Alderson Broaddus (non-conference match).
She has played alongside Kristen Heydt all season and earned all five possible wins with an 8-0 shutout vs. Judson.
Jackson/Heydt also beat respective duos from Warner and Saginaw Valley State.
