GREENWOOD, Ind. – Alderson Broaddus freshman Caleb Pell was named the fourth Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the fall on Monday.
 
Pell is the second first-year runner from AB to be honored by the conference this week.
 
He joined women’s teammate and fellow freshman Taylor Treadway after both Battlers’ squads competed at the Lock Haven Invitational on Saturday.
 
In a field of 257 runners, Pell finished 51st as he clocked a time of 26:45.00 on the 8K course in Pennsylvania.
 
Pell recorded the sixth-best 8K time in the G-MAC this year, passing a 26:50.10 ran by Wyatt Hartman (Cedarville) on Sept. 19.
 
Alderson Broaddus will be back on the course Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Slippery Rock Invitational.
