GREENWOOD, Ind. - Cedarville sophomore Carsyn Koch was named the third Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the fall on Monday.
Koch registered one of the best top-five G-MAC 5K times over the weekend at the Cedarville Friendship Invitational, finishing fifth overall in a field of 128 runners.
As a team, Cedarville tied Dayton for second overall with 12 teams participating.
Koch’s time of 18:44.00 ranks as the best in the conference during the year to date as she clipped an 18:49.72 ran by Caroline Hampton (Trevecca Nazarene) in Memphis.
Koch also possesses the women’s second-best 8K time this fall as well.
Cedarville is idle for the upcoming weekend, but the Yellow Jackets will return to host the All-Ohio Championships on Friday, Oct. 2.
