GREENWOOD, Ind.
– Davis & Elkins senior Julia Hoehn led the headlines for the 2014-15 All-Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Tennis Team as announced by the league.

The league’s coaches voted Hoehn, a native of Thurnau, Germany, as the G-MAC Player of the Year for the second consecutive year as the Senators completed a strong season at 12-10 overall.

Cedarville’s Dee Morris was officially named the G-MAC Coach of the Year as the Lady Jackets completed an undefeated regular season/postseason run and secured their second G-MAC conference crown in the sport (2012-13).

Rookie Roslyn Ng from Ursuline earned G-MAC Freshman of the Year billing. All voting was tabulated from the league’s head coaches.

The G-MAC All-Conference First Team was represented by a total of eight student-athletes, including Hoehn and Ng.

Joining them was sophomore Mia Fabrega (Alderson Broaddus), senior Danielle Hadler (Kentucky Wesleyan), seniors Maryssa Herbert, Courtney Heydt, Lily Schuler (Cedarville) and junior Halima Michael (Davis & Elkins).

Hoehn was a first-team all-conference selection as a junior and she took her game to a different level to close out her collegiate career.

As a doubles partner she produced 13 total wins, including a dozen with Michael. Together, they went 12-6 overall while fashioning a perfect 5-0 record in the league.

Cedarville’s duo of Herbert and Heydt tied for the G-MAC lead in total singles wins with 16 apiece this year while Michael from D&E was runner-up with 13.

Schuler finished with 10 wins while playing all 20 of her singles matchups at the No. 1 position.

Ng gave everyone a promising glimpse into her prospective career with a 7-2 singles mark for the Arrows. She accounted for four doubles wins and went 4-2 during singles in her first shot against conference opponents.

The 2014-15 G-MAC All-Conference Women’s Tennis Team was initially unveiled prior to the start of the conference tournament in Cedarville during an evening ice cream social.
